“Confidence comes naturally with success but, success comes only to those, who are confident”

How Confidence Is Important For Success
Lack of Confidence Leads to Inaction, less confidence does not lead to success. Less confidence leads to being held back, it leads to being timid and not standing up for yourself. And further more, missed opportunities. Believing in yourself is what allows you to rise and reach your full potential.
When you believe in yourself, you’re more likely to take action and get things done, more likely to stand up and seize the moment, and to persevere long after those who doubted themselves.
Confidence Makes You Start Things
Confident people start things. They are not timid when it comes to striking out on a new idea even when those around them are still pondering it.
Gives You The Ability To Stand Up For Yourself
It allows you to stand up for yourself fairly and consistently. Otherwise, you may find yourself unheard or unfairly treated.
To Say No
Confident people can say “No” where appropriate. They do not take on unnecessary or inappropriate work or obligations.
Confidence Fights Fear
Lack of confidence can lead to paralysis from fear. Fear of failure, fear of what others think and fear of the unknown. To succeed, you need the confidence to face and overcome these fears.
Set The Bar High Enough
Confident individuals set the bar high and aim high. Lack of confidence leads to weak goals, setting the bar too low, and mediocre results
Stretch Your Limits
Confidence lets you know your limits and test them. By stretching your limits, you increase them. You are stronger than you think.
Confidence Questions
Confidence allows you to ask questions, even when others are silent. Confidence even lets you “ask for the job.”
Believes In Achieving
Confident people believe in success. And more importantly, they believe in their ability to succeed.
How Society Is More Accepting Of Confidence Over Skill

Society is mostly populated by people who judge at face value, they let what they see determine how the show will proceed. There are numerous examples of how society chose the confident one over the skilled one. But you as the reader must understand this: confidence is important for success, yes that is as true as can be but, to achieve success, you need to have both skill and confidence.
An example of a confidence over skill scenario: Two men go for an interview at a mega-corporation, one is a Harvard business grad and the other is a high school graduate. The Harvard business grad is first in line. As the interview goes on, the interviewer sees that the interviewee has an amazing resume. In fact, he could probably replace one of the top executives in terms of competence, but the thing is, the level of confidence exhibited by him is below average. He is constantly fidgeting, not making eye contact and stutters over every word.
The high school graduate, on the other hand, walks in as if he owns the place. As the interviewer questions him; He gets impressed by the high school grads’ confidence and thinks he’s a better fit for the company. This story is an extrapolation but it goes to show, you can win friends and influence people just by being confident.
How To Become More Confident

Confidence can be obtained from the activities in life that make us feel alive, things such as learning, improving a skill, giving to those in need, completing a task/goal, traveling, experiencing something new, self-improvement, exercising, singing & dancing, basically if it makes you feel like life is a bundle of joy then it will most likely improve your self-confidence levels.
I find learning to be a wondrous activity, most especially learning about physics. I discovered that after a session of learning about quantum mechanics (or anything related to it) my levels of self-confidence would skyrocket and my confidence would become higher than it previously was. Using a combination of different confidence lifting activities consistently, you will see a great improvement in your overall self-confidence. Real confidence comes from activities that insight happiness and appreciation in a person.
Be Confident, Not Arrogant/Cocky

The biggest mistake most people make when trying to become confident: Their sudden change in attitude. They misunderstand what it truly means to be confident and they think confidence emerges overnight, but as with all good things in life, patience is a key factor.
The people around arrogant/cocky people don’t even realize that the person is just haughty, and they mistake it to be confidence. True confidence is accepting, caring and patient, not aggressive, inconsiderate and obnoxious. A truly confident person doesn’t need to force people to see that they are confident but rather, they unwillingly attract people beside them, and those people more often than not end up helping the confident person achieve his/her aspirations.
Signs Of Arrogance
- Unappreciative.
- Puts others down to lift themselves.
- Thinks they know everything.
- Thinks they are the best.
- Doesn’t consider other viewpoints.
- Talks too much but doesn’t deliver.
- Doesn’t give credit where credit is due.
- Self-centered.
- Lack of empathy.
- Sees the world from one lens.

When building confidence, it’s best to let time decide when you’ve reached the pinnacle of the endeavor (which is never by the way, because confidence isn’t fixed, hence it can’t plateau)
